Hakata Kenjo patterns include “oyako-jima,” which means that parents protect their children, and “filial filial stripes,” which means that children respect their parents. For boys born in Fukuoka, we are pleased to announce the new brand “Yumetsukushi” series of general decorations made from Hakataori, a traditional craft that Fukuoka is proud of.

The dolls are made by Toko Kakinuma, a Kimekomi doll traditional craftsman certified by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry. Made using Hakataori pure silk (100% SILK). The utensils are made by Hosei-do, the only surviving temple in Osaka that has survived from the Edo period, and which has inherited bent objects since its founding in 1832. The folding screen is hand-painted with Dazaifu plums and Japanese bush warblers.
